How long will the claim take?
This will depend on the circumstances of your case. A straightforward road traffic accident can be settled within 3 months, whilst more serious injuries naturally take longer. Once the initial investigations have been carried out, we can provide an accurate prediction of how long the case will last. As always, your Simple Claims advisor will keep you updated of the case’s progress at all times.
How do I know if I have a genuine claim opportunity?

Does it matter how long ago the accident happened?
The general rule of thumb is that you have three years to make a claim, from the point of the accident. Examples of exceptions include an accident which occurred before your 18th birthday; here, you have 3 years to make a claim from the point you turned 18, not 3 years from the accident itself. Is there a penalty if I withdraw my claim early?
Our lawyers will advise you to withdraw your claim if it’s unlikely to succeed; in such a situation, your withdrawal costs nothing. However, if this is not the case and you decide not to proceed for something other than that, you may be billed for all charges incurred on your behalf.
Will I have to attend a medical?
In any case where it is required, Simple Claims will book a medical examination with an independent doctor. This appointment will be local to you, and booked around your availability; travel expenses can be added as part of your claim.

Will I need to go to court?
